When you’re not towing, the base plate practically disappears. The main body stays hidden for a clean, OE look, while the removable arms come off quickly so there’s nothing sticking out from the bumper. It keeps the front end looking sharp and avoids shin bumps when you walk by.
Getting ready to tow is simple with the twist-lock tabs. Each arm slides in, twists to lock, and secures firmly so you can connect your tow bar without hassle. The distance between brackets is 22" and bracket height is 16-1/2", giving you exact mounting points to line up your setup.
This setup is constructed of welded steel that’s physically tested to the vehicle’s gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). It spreads towing forces evenly across the chassis for dependable strength and reduced stress on suspension components. The high-gloss black powder coat and liquid Bonderite coating inside and out protect against corrosion mile after mile.
No welding is required here. The kit bolts securely to the chassis using the included hardware, keeping installation simple and solid. Once mounted, it provides strong attachment points for your tow bar so you can head out confident everything’s locked down tight.
If you already run a Curt or Blue Ox setup, this base plate fits right in. The removable arms from a Blue Ox baseplate will work with this Curt baseplate as well, though arm length can vary by model. That flexibility makes it easy to connect your existing towing gear without starting from scratch.

Base Plates mounted on my 2022 Ford Bronco is holding up 100. Great quality finish that has not rusted. I have seen base plates from other companies being installed on Broncos and they are making major modifications. Not my Curt Custom Base Plates. An easy DYI with no major modifications. We have towed our Bronco 13,000 miles behind our Class A and its a flawless tow. These base plates were also priced much better then other brands. Thank you Etrailer!
