Can someone just pull the pins and steal the ball part off these Fastway Flash Force mounts while my truck is parked?

That’s a really good question, Kevin.
The Fastway Flash Force ball mounts use standard pins and clips for the adjustable section, and there is an open notch in the vertical channel that allows the ball platform to slide off when the pins are removed. For normal towing, the included pin-and-clip setup is what holds the adjustable section in position. For theft deterrence, you’d want the Fastway Trailer Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set # FA86-00-3685.
That lock set works with all four Flash Force options: the 2" hitch models # FA33FR and # FA93FR, and the 2-1/2" hitch models # FA43FR and # FA63FR. It gives you one locking pin for the receiver, so the shank stays secured to the vehicle, and one locking pin for the adjustable ball platform. That way you’re securing both places someone could otherwise remove part of the setup.
Kevin, are you planning to leave the ball mount installed most of the time or only put it in when you tow? These have a black corrosion-resistant coating and chrome-plated hitch balls, so they’re built with outdoor use in mind, but I’d still keep the balls greased and check the finish occasionally if it’ll live on the truck full-time.
