I leave my hitch in the truck most of the time, but I’m worried about it rattling and also worried someone could walk off with it if I have it on the receiver while truck is parked. What should I do? This is in regards to the fastway that I just saw as added to your site.

Hey Chris, great questions, and I do have a solution for you!
For security on the Fastway Flash Force adjustable ball mounts, use the Fastway Trailer Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set # FA86-00-3685. That gives you one lock for the receiver connection and a second lock for the adjustable section. That second lock is important because the ball platform can be removed through the open notch in the adjustment channel if it is not locked down.
For rattle, match the anti-rattle part to your receiver size. If you’re using a 2" Fastway mount like # FA33FR or # FA93FR, use the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar for 2" Hitches # e38FV. If you’re using a 2-1/2" Fastway mount like # FA43FR or # FA63FR, use the Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp for 2-1/2" Hitches # C87UR.
Those anti-rattle parts help tighten up movement where the shank sits in the receiver. You can still have some normal movement at the adjustable pin locations, but locking and tightening the main connection goes a long way toward making the setup feel more secure.
