Hi Joyce!

I have a couple of options for you, depending on whether you have the puck system from the factory or not.

If your truck comes prepped with the puck system, I highly recommend B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # BWRVK3600. This hitch is rated for 25,000 pounds of gross trailer weight and 6,250 pounds of vertical load, so it's a great option for most fifth wheel trailers. This hitch separates into two pieces for an easy installation and removal.

If your truck is not prepped with the puck system, my recommendation is B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Turnoverball for Ram - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BW93QR. This one is rated for 20,000 pounds of GTW and 5,000 pounds of vertical load. One key difference in this kit besides the fitment is that the base of the fifth wheel hitch installs over an included gooseneck ball. In turn, this kit allows you to tow both fifth-wheel trailers as well as gooseneck trailers, should you ever need to. When you need a clear bed, you're able to turn the gooseneck ball over for a flush fit.

Is your truck factory prepped with the puck system? Where do you plan on taking that fifth wheel? I'd love to hear more about your setup!

I’ve had it for about two years and it’s an excellent hitch while it is in two pieces and it is removable. It is a bit of a chore cause it’s quite heavy.

@JohnR Thanks for your feedback on that. How often are you having to install and/or remove the hitch from your truck? Is it something that you're usually able to do or do you find sometimes that you need assistance with that?

I've had my B&W Companion fifth wheel hitch for several years. I would not trade it for anything else. It is very heavy duty and I feel safe using it. I added my own puck system to my 2022 Ram so fifth wheel is easy to remove when needed. Pad locks can also be added to the hitch so it cannot be removed from the truck.

@Ray Thanks for your feedback, I like that system as well! Nice touch with the locks. That'll keep you secure from the worst case scenario. What kind of trailer are you towing with the hitch?

@Ray Alliance 5th wheels are awesome rigs! Is there anywhere specific you like camping? We have a lot of parks around us here in Missouri that are extremely nice, so it always makes for a fun adventure.

Great hitch I have the puck hitch very easy to install and operate. Good price had a Curt before myB@W. Lets you pock if you want it positioned over the axle or 2 to four inches in front or behind, I have a short bed, so I chose behind for the extra clearance for the cab.

@RichT Nice! That's a really popular towing truck. Have you had any limitations for towing with that truck that may be useful to pass onto others with questions about it?

I have had my B&W since March. It is easy to install and remove since I have the factory puck system in my 2019 Ram 3500. The two pieces come apart easily and the top portion is not too heavy to move around easily. The bottom portion is a bit on the heavy side but with the weight it is designed to carry I have no problem with that. I would definitely purchase this hitch again.

@Russ Glad to hear you're happy with the hitch! What type of trailer are you using it with? Do you plan on traveling at all with it for the summer?
