Question:

I have a 2024 high country Montana with a GE refrigerator. I need the bracket/lock that keeps it in place and locks the doors. Do you have this part

Hi John, great question! There is nothing worse than the fridge door popping open when you are going down the road. We do have parts that may work for your 2024 Montana High Country depending on which GE refrigerator model you have installed.

To keep the refrigerator doors securely closed while you travel, you can use the Travel Door Latch for GE Appliances RV Refrigerator, part # GE98FR. This latch is designed to fit the GE RV refrigerators we carry under part numbers # GE58FR and # GE26FR, which are also known by GE model numbers PPV10R5YRSS and PPV10R5YRBB. This latch mounts to the front of the refrigerator and secures both doors together during travel so they do not swing open while you are on the road. It is a simple but really important piece for protecting the doors, shelves, and contents inside the fridge when towing over rough roads or making tight turns.

If you are also needing the mounting bracket kit that helps secure the refrigerator itself in place inside the cabinet, we also carry the Bracket Kit for GE Appliances RV Refrigerator, part # GE38FR. Which we no longer carry but the bracket kit can still be found out there on the web. Since GE used a few different refrigerator models and mounting setups, I would just need the model number from the refrigerator label to confirm the correct parts for you. A quick photo of the refrigerator and mounting area would work great too.

Could you send me the model number or a picture of your fridge setup so I can make sure you get the right parts the first time?

I used this latch on a Fridigaire Gallery apartment size refrigerator that I installed in my RV and it works great. The holes lined right up so it was very simple to install. I have a photo showing it installed but I don't know how to attach it.

@WayneK Dang, I wish we could attach photos here! They are trying to fix that for us. Thank you so much for the real world feedback, it helps to hear from someone that uses the latch.
