Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this travel door latch for your GE RV refrigerator. Now this part here is gonna keep your refrigerator secure. Basically, when you install this, it'll prevent the doors from opening during travel for added safety. And it is designed for a perfect fit.
It is compatible with the GE refrigerator models, part number GE58fr, and the GE26fr. Both of those models we do sell separate on our website. But I did wanna pop up an insert just to show you there's what it looks like after it's installed and used. You can see how it's there between the two doors, the top freezer door, and the bottom refrigerator door. Basically what you'll do is it comes with the installation screws and the door latch.
You'll just screw this into the refrigerator and this will be open. And up here would be your freezer door, down here will be regular door. When you move this over, that will block those doors from opening during travel. And then to use the doors, you just swing this back open and then you can access your doors. But that's gonna do it for a look at this travel door latch for the GE RV refrigerator.

I bought this for a Frigidaire 10 cubic foot fridge that I retrofitted into my Jayco Eagle. It fit the fridge perfect and works great! It also is more compact than I thought it would be. It doesn’t get in the way in the unlatched position. I would definitely recommend.
Works as it should. Looked like a direct replacement for the OEM one.
The latch does its job just fine once installed. The first issue is that it SHOULD have just come with the refrigerator as the refrigerator description states it would. Second issue is that the mounting screws included with the latch are completely the wrong size, like more than 2x the length they need to be. I was able to cut the screws easily enough but clearly you shouldn't need to do this. The part also included 2 nylon washers but they don't go anywhere. They aren't sized properly for the screws, and aren't thick enough to take up all the extra length anyway. No directions come with the part so you just need to figure it out on your own, which is easy for the part itself but again...these washers are for????
Worked as expected. Install was easy with a screwdriver. Holds the doors well and has good friction in the swinging motion. Keeps my little ones out of the fridge as well. All around worth every penny.
Although not made for the Frigidaire 10cf refrigerator it fit perfectly with no modifications
Easy install, not designed to fit Norcold (holes don’t line up) but looks like it will work fine. Great service as always.
It works great!
Not installed yet but looks to be a quality part

That is great to hear, and it looks great! Are you able to get out with that Jayco often??
