Question:
Can you confirm that Curt Item C92UR and eTrailer item E46ZV fits the 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid Touring Sedan? Also, I cam across a review left by Ben on 5/9/2026 that the bolts that came with the hitch do not fit with 2026 Civic Hybrid. Can you confirm if Ben is correct and if so, was there a correct made to include the correct bolt?

Hello Trung,
Thanks for writing in, I am glad you found us.
Yes, both the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C92UR and the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e46ZV are confirmed to fit the 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid Touring Sedan, as long as your vehicle does not have the center exhaust setup. If your Civic Hybrid Touring has the standard rear exhaust configuration, both hitches will install correctly and provide the same fit and function.
The main difference between the two hitches is the finish. The Curt # C92UR has a glossy black powder coat finish, while the etrailer # e46ZV features a matte black finish that gives it a more factory-style appearance and does a great job hiding scratches and road grime over time. Other than the finish, the hitches are the same design and install the same way. I attached an image so you can see exactly where the receiver will sit when installed.
As for the review you mentioned from Ben, the hardware included with the hitch is correct for the 2026 Civic Hybrid Touring Sedan. We have confirmed fitment for both hitches, so customers ordering today will not run into any hardware compatibility issues during installation, provided the vehicle does not have the center exhaust configuration.
If you are planning on doing some light towing or using a hitch-mounted accessory with lights, I also recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C43VV. This wiring harness is custom fit for the Civic and plugs into the factory wiring, making installation much simpler without needing to cut or splice wires.
What are you planning to use the hitch setup for once everything is installed?

I had my cousin and his son install the hitch on my 2022 Sport Touring Hatchback. They have a body shop and are meticulous with their work. It was involved and took almost 2 hours, but they did extra preventative care by cleaning some corrosion on the bumper beam and applied rust prohibitor on other parts. The hitch looks great and works as intended.

I installed on a 2025 Hybrid Sport Hatchback. I've installed maybe 9 or 10 of this type (various) of hitch on small cars for the purpose of a hitch bike rack. This one was certainly the most difficult to install. There is an interference between this hitch and the bumper - a modification (for mine) was required where I needed to cut out a small portion of the the bumper (used a metal cutoff wheel) to provide the needed clearance. Yes, Etrailer says it is a confirmed fitment but not without this mod. I do not have the center exhaust on my Civic. Nor will they say it is OK to modify the bumper to make it fir. Liability I suppose. Look around and you'll find others who have had the same issue. I completed the install and it works, just be aware it'll take a while.
