Hi John!
As long as the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class I - 1-1/4" # e46ZV is installed properly (torqued to specs and all that), it would not void the warranty of your 2018 Honda Civic (coupe, sedan, or hatchback and as long as you do not have the center exhaust). This is because of the Magnuson Moss act.
The Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act, in short, states that manufactures cannot void the entire warranty of a vehicle simply because an aftermarket component was installed. Basically they'd have to somehow prove that the hitch caused whatever damage was in question. I can't say I have ever seen this happen and I don't think they could honestly say a hitch damaged your vehicle.
What are you wanting to use a hitch for?
