Hello, Im in the process of purchasing a 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid Sedan. Wondering if this hitch will fit? Also, is there any modification required on the car for installation? Can you provide a link to installation instructions before I move forward.

Hey Scott, congrats on your new purchase! Our etrailer Hitch item # e46ZV does indeed fit the 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid Sedan. There is an additional modification that we've been made aware of through other customers experiences. You have to do some trimming of the bumper area to accommodate the 1-1/4" receiver. There's an extra piece of metal there that was added with the 2025 model year.

Our etrailer item # e46ZV is a class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver that comes with all hardware necessary for installation. It has a 2,000 lbs towing capacity and 200 lbs maximum tongue weight so it'll work great with a small trailer or an accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier.

For some reason there's no link for the etrailer item # e46ZV instructions. I've linked the installation instructions for the Curt item # C92UR below instead. Curt makes our house branded hitches so the instructions and steps are identical.
