Recommended Hitch for a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid

That's accurate Michael! However, the Curt Hitch item # C92UR still fits the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid sedan and hatchback so long as yours does not have the center exhaust.

The Curt Hitch item # C92UR wasn't intended to be used on the hybrids is all that disclaimer is saying. There's an extra amount of trimming required on the bumper. The towing capacity and tongue weight capacity won't be as high so it's just a heads up statement. You'll still be covered by a warranty so long as the hitch is installed correctly.

I have linked an installation video along with the instructions so you can see how to get this hitch set up.

@David It's at the bottom of the page. We've installed the item # hitch on a 2022 and 2023 Honda Civic sedan.

No telling what the towing capacity and tongue weight capacity will be? I've read elsewhere there is some new metal ridge on the hybrid that causes this hitch to stand away from the bumper an inch or so. Do you know if Curt will make another that fits the hybrid EXACTLY? I don't mind waiting for a good solid attachment. Thanks, A

@AaronD The Curt Hitch item # C92UR has a 2,000 lbs towing capacity and a 200 lbs maximum tongue weight but you'll want to verify with your owners manual what capacities your model Civic has as they may be different. Curt's been using this hitch on the Honda Civics since 2017 so I do not expect them to come out with another one until the next generation change Honda does.

Could you please confirm if there’s an unusually high or low amount of trimming for the hybrid sedan compared to the regular sedan for the 2025 Honda Civic?

@John The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C92UR does require a high amount of trimming. I have linked the installation instructions below so you can see the piece of the fascia that has to come off. Additionally, the metal bumper will need to be trimmed to remove a small portion for installation. I do not have instructions or a video that shows how to do this. What are you looking to use the hitch for?
