Question:

Hello, We are looking to get a trailer hitch for our Peterbilt 220. The frame is 31inch outside to outside. Do you have something with that dimension? Thanks a lot!

That’s a great question, Leandro!

We do have a couple solid options that will work well for your 2008 Peterbilt 220, especially with the width you’re working with.

The first option is the Curt Adjustable Hitch # C37CR. This one has frame brackets that can be adjusted up to 44" wide, so you’ll be able to position them to match your 31" frame spacing. The brackets do need to be welded to the cross tube, but once installed, it gives you about a 9" drop from the frame.

If you’re looking for more drop, the Curt # C87CR is another great choice. It has the same adjustable width and install style, but it provides a deeper 18" drop from the frame.

Both of these hitchs have the same capacity, 20,000 lbs gross towing weight and 2,000 lbs for tongue weight.

What are you planning on carrying on the back of your Peterbilt?
