Does etrailer Base Plate Kit FIt 2025 Ford F-150 Powerboost

Updated 05/04/2026 | Published 04/30/2026

Question:

The video shows a 2025 F-150 installation but mine has the front airflap that isnt shown in the video. Are there additional install steps for the 2025 Powerboost with airflap? Is cutting necessary?

Hey Rob, I went through the install instructions for the etrailer base plate kit part # e86YR that you referenced and did not find any mention of fit exclusions or special steps for if the truck has the air shudders/flaps that you mentioned so it would not be something you'd need to worry about. This would install exact same way. Do you have a tow bar picked out already?

There is no cutting involved. These are the easiest base plates I’ve ever installed. I have set up three different vehicles in the past 10 years would highly recommend these.

I installed them on my 2019 F150 King Ranch with no problems. Only took about 45 minutes. After removing the tow loops, getting the stiff rubber covers out was the hardest part, but once you get the first one the other one is easier.

Rob, this was one of the easiest installs, when I first installed, I thought I didn't need the spacer, but without the spacer the shutters would hit the baseplate also I didn't feel there was enough room for the safety chains with hitting the truck. I installed mine on a 2025 F-150 Powerboost.
