Looking for Shade Roller Repair Kit for 2008 Tiffin Motorhome

Question:
I have the American Duo Day - Night Shade System according to the sticker on the top of the shade track on my 2008 Tiffin motorhome. The spring is shot on the bottom shade. Can I use this kit to repair it? It is 28 mm internally. I ask because 1 it says For Single Rollerinch I assume that means it will ONLY repair one roller. 2 Will this work for a 2008 shade? The total length of the shade is 32 inches.

Hey Bill, since you said your roller is 28 mm internally the MCD Innovations RV Shade Repair Kit # MC44SR that you referenced would work as a repair kit for what you have. Also yes since this is a single roller it would only repair one roller. This fits shades between 18 and 38 inches so yours being 32 is also perfectly compatible.

Hey Bill. I had the same problem with the same shade on our 2021 Newmar Ventana. Our lower (of the two) black shade was overextended by our young grandson which broke the internal spring. The kit mentioned by Jameson worked perfectly. The repair was also very simple. Adjusting the tension after reinstallation was also simple on our shade. Good luck!
