Hi Spencer!
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e99ZV will indeed fit your 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid. It will actually fit all versions of Maverick as long as it doesn't have the factory hitch, so you are good to go!
The wiring is a little more problematic though. There is no plug and play option available for that, so you will need the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236. This is a splice in wiring harness, so it will be more work than you were expecting, but it will get you up and running.
What are you planning on towing?

So in Ford's infinite wisdom, if the truck didn't come with the factory tow package then it doesn't have any harness or plug to connect to. The Factory Ford add-on kit (which I purchased from my local dealer) is a universal install kit similar to any of the aftermarket options just with FoMoCo badging. So they can't even provide a plug-n-play option. You will need to tap into the light circuits and find 12v power (like the 12v plug tucked into either side of the bed.)

My small boat. Will it not connect to the wiring harness that came in my glove box that connects to the preinstalled connector behind the tail lights that all Mavericks have?
