What is the diameter of the wire rope used in the breakaway cable?

Hey Cliff, the diameter of the coiled wire rope of the Fastway Breakaway Cable part # FA80-00-2060 that you referenced is 3/16 of an inch. Are you worried it might break?

I've been using the Fastway cable for a while. I like that it's coiled. It stays up out of the way. My last cable was so long that drug the ground and broke apart.

I replaced the stock one because the plastic housing broke when I was testing it (3rd owner of a 14 year old pop up trailer). I like the coiled cord because it doesn’t drag. The original one had supposedly dragged with a prior owner because I could see the cable was frayed in one section. Not sure of the diameter though.
