Question:
I have a Kuat Transfer v2 whose arms squeak loudly when lifting or lowering. Its 3 years old and dusty. What kind of lubricant works best on these? Thanks!

Hey Peter. Happy to help out.
That sounds annoying, but I do have a good fix for that squeaking on the Kuat Transfer V2 # KU84FR.
We recommend using a dry silicone spray lubricant or a dry PTFE (Teflon) spray on those moving parts. Try to avoid grease or standard oil, since those can attract dirt over time and actually make things worse.
If you can, first wipe or rinse off any dust, then lightly spray the pivot at the base of the arm (where it swings side to side)
After spraying, cycle the arm side to side several times to work the lubricant in, then wipe off any excess.
What kind of bikes do you have?

Hi Peter. I have the same problem but have not tried anything yet. Boeshield T-9 seems to be made for this sort of thing so I'm going to try that.

Same as expert reply. I would suggest WD40 Dry Lube spray. Although , I have not had any problems with my Kuat bike rake squeeking I do use on my travel trailer slide out. Works great.

The suggestion that has been made is really a good solution to the problem. You may want to try and store out of the dust and dirt. Antonio
