I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport that has a Rugged Ridge XHD Front bumper and am looking to make it a TOAD. Can you provide me information on the parts required, base, tow bar, brake kit, etc?

Hey Harley, I can help you out with that!
Thanks for the info on your off-road bumper with D-rings; my research tells me it's likely the 3/4" d rings which would work with these adapters # RM-035 which act as a base plate when used on the bumper. For a tow bar, a good compatible option is Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-520. You'll want to stick with Roadmaster brand for compatibility with the adapter. You'll also need safety cables like # RM-643.
For the wiring, you'll need Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit # RM-15267.
For supplemental braking system I'd go with Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System # BLU37TR and the 12v outlet # RM-9332 to power it. The Patriot is a very reliable, good quality system that is easy to install and remove every time you need to flat tow. Nothing is permanently attached to the brakes on your Jeep since it's portable.

1. The D Ring mounts must be welded front and back to a support bracket that is directly attached to your frame. 2. In a bad situation the weight of the Toad gets amplified. I would highly suggest a 10,000 Ib system. I would also highly recommend the Roadmaster solution including their air driven braking system with the 10,000 lb cables. 3. Have 2 Toads one using the D-Ring Type and one the using standard type. This requires swapping them from time to time. I have had no problems and they work just fine. Make sure you use locks on the connection pins instead of the spring pins. 4. One last comment Inspect the entire system on a regular basis, they have been known to stress crack. Roadmaster is easy to rebuild if you ever find a problem

Hey Harley, thanks for the pictures in the email you sent me. Since you actually have 1" thick shackles on the bumper D rings, you'll actually want adapters # RM-035-1 instead of the aforementioned # RM-035.
