Question:
I have a 2022 Lincoln Corsair Reserve and want to buy the e89YR hitch. I also need a light kit to go with the hitch. The C59236 wiring kit is not confirmed to fit my car, which kit would you recommend? Thank you

Hi Glenn,
Since the Curt Powered Taillight Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C59236 is a universal install kit, it will work as long as its installed properly. You'll need to splice into the vehicle's wiring, and the black wire will be used to run directly to the battery so it can pull power from there instead of your taillight circuits. This will give you full power without stressing your vehicle's wiring. Because the 2023 Lincoln Consair is not a vehicle that is often used for towing, us and Curt discontinued manually adding the wiring that fits the vehicle. Rest assured though, it most definitely will work for your application.
What are you planning on towing with your Lincoln Corsair?

I have a 2019 Hyundai Tucson. It was a straightforward install. The taillights being pretty high on this vehicle, it was a stretch to get the control module in a suitable spot; I came close to having to splice in some extra wire. That was the closest thing to a problem. It's been installed for about a year now and has been used quite a few times with no issues, towing a light cargo trailer.

Hello Glenn: we bought this kit for our Volvo XC 60. The directions and support were great. It was really pretty straightforward. It really added a lot more utility to the car. One other thing, the quality of the parts is very good. Good luck!
