Recommended Chocks for a 5th Wheel Trailer and Should I Use 1 or 2 Sets

Updated 04/02/2026 | Published 03/27/2026

Question:

Hi - I have a 2025 Alliance Avenue All Access 23ML 5th wheel. My question is - do you recommend I chock down both sides of the tandem wheels or is one set one side chocked enough? Thank you

Hey Suzanne. I highly recommend chocking both sides of your 2025 Alliance Avenue. This will ensure you don't have any creeping or shifting of your 5th wheel trailer while you're going in and out. This is especially important on uneven ground at campsites or when your unhitching your trailer and it's rocking around.

The Chock-N-Lock Wheel Stabilizer for Tandem-Axle Trailers item # IR55FR you were looking at, would be a great option. They work with up to 9-1/2" of wheel spacing so I recommend taking a quick measurement of the closest point in the center of your Alliance's tires.

What kind of ground do you typically camp and park on?

Thank you Jerred for getting back to me. I was thinking 2 sets would be best as well. We typically dry camp in state parks.
