If an uneven campsite leaves your first RV step too far from the ground, this add-on tread fits 19-1/2" Gen 2 MORryde StepAbove stairs and adds a smoother 8" or 9" rise with longer legs, so entry feels more stable getting in and out.
After a lift, suspension change, or uneven campsite setup, the first step can sit high enough that getting in and out takes a bigger reach than you want. This Add-A-Step tread adds an extra step to your 19-1/2" wide Gen 2 StepAbove steps, closing that large ground-to-step gap and smoothing the transition from the ground to the stairs. Once it's in place, the entry feels less stretched out because your foot has another tread between the ground and the original bottom step.
Door-side height can change from one campsite to the next, especially when the trailer is leveled on sloped or uneven ground. The Add-A-Step adjusts for 8" and 9" rises, giving your step setup a way to handle those height changes without turning the bottom step into a tall climb. The entry stays usable when the ground height isn't the same from trip to trip.
A mismatched extra step can feel odd underfoot if the tread size doesn't line up with the rest of the stairs. This version uses a 19-1/2" wide x 7" long tread, matching the StepAbove tread size called out for this Add-A-Step. Your foot lands on a full-width lower tread before moving up the rest of the stair set, which makes the entry path feel more natural.
Adding a lower step is much simpler when the part is made to attach to the existing stair setup instead of requiring a custom platform. This Add-A-Step attaches and removes easily, and the kit includes longer legs to accommodate the added height difference. Once installed, your steps gain the extra lower tread while still giving you a removable add-on when the setup changes.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this MORryde Add-A-Step. Now, this add-a-step tread is going to be a simple yet effective solution for improving your Gen 2 StepAbove steps. This is designed specifically for the 19 1/2"-wide StepAbove treads, and it's going to add an extra step to make the transition from the ground to your RV step smoother, especially helpful on uneven campsites where the first step can kind of feel a little bit too tall. This tread is going to easily attach to any Gen 2 StepAbove step and can be adjusted for either an 8" or 9" rise to match your setup. It's just as easy to remove when you're packing it up.
And so this kit includes everything that you see here. You're going to get the step. Then you're also going to get the longer legs to handle the height differences to ensure a level-secure fit along with these brackets, hardware, and instructions. It's gonna be a relatively simple installation. Should be quick.
And then just looking at the tread itself to confirm that measurement with you, as I hope you can see. 19 1/2" by 7". This added step is going to give you a comfortable, staple, stable surface, rather, that's going to close the gap between the ground and your first step, making entry and exit safer and more convenient. So again, you're gonna get exactly what you see here. If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this or anything else that we carry, don't hesitate to reach out 'cause we wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need.
Well, again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
