Can Thetford Aqua-Magic Residence RV Toilet Replace Thetford Bravura

Hello, does this toilet fit on the same bolts like the theford bravura? in other words, can you tell me the distance between the two mounting holes? Thanks in advance, Christian

Hey Christian! The Thetford Aqua-Magic Residence RV Toilet # TH42SE will fit the same bolts from your Bravura. This uses the standard Thetford 2-bolt pattern with 6" between mounting holes. As long as your rough-in measurement is at least 9-1/2" it will fit.

thanks for the quick response. it is an old laika ecovip200. it had anthetford toilet, i dont know the name, but i've been told a bravura can be used in exchange. The diameter between the holes is 6". is there a way to figure out which toilets will fit? Thanks again, christian

@Christian that 6" measurement is pretty much the standard so as far as that goes toilets from major manufacturers will generally fit. The main thing you have to watch out for is that rough-in measurement. That is typically the limiting factor on toilet replacement.

I noticed my comments on the THETFORD toilet and my photo is listed here. I would add that when I took off the old toilet, the model number was on a tag at the back. I could have bought an exact replacement on trailer and had a bit easier time with the water hook up. In your case, a new model has replaced your old toilet and you may have to use an adaptor flex hose for the water inlet like I did. It’s no big deal. A swivel elbow would make it unnecessary to use the flex hose (likely). I would guess the bolt pattern and offset from the wall is standard and will fit well. Dave.
