Hitch for 2025 and 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5
Updated 03/19/2026 | Published 03/17/2026 >
Question:
Hello! I bought a hitch from you for my Hyundai ioniq 5, 2024. I am wondering if I can move this over to an ionic 5 2025 or 2026 or perhaps I would need a new hitch. Also, if I can move it, I might need a manual as I have misplaced the installation instructions. Thank you!

Hi Paul, great question and I’m really glad you checked before trying to swap it over.
The hitches made for the 2024 Ioniq 5 do not fit the 2025 or 2026 models due to design changes on the newer vehicles, so your existing hitch will not transfer over. You would need a new hitch that is specifically designed for the updated model years. A solid option we have confirmed is the EcoHitch # EH72HR, which is designed to fit the 2025 and 2026 Ioniq 5, including the N and XRT trims, and gives you a clean install with the cross tube hidden behind the bumper.
I know it’s frustrating not being able to reuse your current hitch, but going with a confirmed fit will save you from installation issues and make sure everything lines up properly the first time.
What are you planning to use the hitch for on your Ioniq 5, bikes, a cargo carrier, or something else?
