Hello Henry,

There are a few trailer hitch receivers that fit a 2025 Honda CR-V hybrid, starting with the EcoHitch # EH25KR. However, it's important to note this is specifically for the Hybrid Sport Touring models, so if that's your model, this is the hitch to go with. For other hybrid models, you can choose from either the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13397 or etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98848.

These are the exact same thing other than the finish, with Curt having a glossy finish and the etrailer having a matte black finish. This won't affect anything at all so I'd just go with the lower priced option. The only other thing you may need is a 4-way wiring harness if you're going to do some towing, the Tekonsha # 118741.

I have a 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring with the kick sensor feature to open the tailgate. Would I need to relocate or modify the sensor under the bumper if I go with the EH25KR hitch? I’ve watched the installation video for the DT79MR hitch and I’m not to crazy about trimming around the motion sensor and relocating it. Are there any plans to do an install video of the EH25KR on my Honda model?

@Tom Hello Tom. The Eco Hitch # EH25KR most likely will block the liftgate sensor on your 2025 CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring. In most cases the sensor functionality is lost with the hitch installed. In some cases the sensor will still work, you just have to waive your foot to either side of the receiver. The sensor placement and angle on these vehicles is not as consistent as you would think which is why I can't give you a firm yes or no answer. Relocating the sensor would be the only way around this, but we do not offer any kit for this. No immediate plans to make a video. Unless you want to bring your vehicle to us here in Missouri and we can shoot one haha. We do offer free installs on new vehicles.
