Upgrade your RV's AC with this unit from Advent Air. New R32 refrigerant meets 2025 EPA regulations. Not backwards compatible with any AC systems from 2024 and earlier.

Notes:
Because your RV is likely already prepped and pre-wired for an AC unit, installation is simple. Most AC units are designed to fit an opening that measures 14-1/4" x 14-1/4". Depending on your roof setup, you may need to do minimal alterations. If the opening is larger than 14-3/8" x 14-3/8", you will need to install spacers between the sides of the unit and the opening's edges. If the opening is smaller than 14-1/8" x 14-1/8", you will need to enlarge the hole to fit the unit snugly inside the opening.
On the bottom of the AC, there's a thick, collapsible gasket with 6 noise-reducing foam pads. This provides support between the RV roof and AC and seals the opening to prevent water and outside air from leaking in. Because of this, the use of fresh sealant isn't needed. Once installed, the hard plastic cover on the AC can easily be removed for maintenance and cleaning.
In order to fully complete installation, this AC needs to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air air distribution box and thermostat.
Additional accessories can be purchased separately to improve the performance of your Advent Air AC unit. The start capacitor (ACMSCKIT) improves the performance of your AC by using stored energy to jumpstart it. And the electric heat strip (ACMHD) removes the chill on cold or frosty mornings in your RV, ensuring you stay comfortable. Please note that the heat strip will only work on Advent Air AC units.
2-Year limited warranty covers defective units when installed correctly on approved applications. The warranty does not cover units installed incorrectly. To ensure air conditioner is installed correctly, please see the questionnaire pdf below. A filled-out questionnaire is required for warranty coverage.
If you are not comfortable using a voltmeter (or removing the charge from the start capacitor), you'll want to make a service appointment with your local RV dealer to verify the installation. Print the pdfs below (warranty- questionnaire, warranty dealer information) and take them along with the RV to your local dealer. ASA does compensate dealers for warranty work as outlined in the dealer information pdf. You may be charged by the dealer for time spent investigating the installation.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Advent Air 13,500 BTU white RV air conditioner. Now this is gonna be a great option to consider if you're looking to replace, upgrade or add an air conditioner on your RV. And as I mentioned, this is a 13,500 BTU per hour air conditioner. So this is going to quickly and efficiently cool down the inside of your RV or camper.
Now this does use the more energy efficient R-32 refrigerant, which does meet the 2025 EPA regulations. This air conditioner will be compatible with ducted or ductless systems and it can be paired with an Advent Air or Dometic setup. But I do wanna let you know that this is not gonna be compatible with Penguin, Bugatti or Furrion. And in order to fully complete this installation, this air conditioner does need to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air or Dometic air, Dometic air distribution box rather and thermostat. So all that to say this unit is not backwards compatible with any air conditioner systems from 2024 and earlier.
Now this is designed for motor homes and travel trailers and fifth wheels, but this is not approved for use on school buses, food trucks, enclosed utility trailers or off-roading vehicles because typically those types of roofs don't have the support needed to handle the weight of an air conditioner system on top. There might be too much flex in the roof that could potentially damage not only that trailer or that vehicle but the air conditioner itself when you're going down the road. This is a bolt on installation. However, the hardware is not included with this. You will, like I said, need to pick up an air distribution box and a thermostat or have a box with a thermostat in it.
This is going to fit roofs from two and a half inches to five inches thick with an opening the size of 14 and a quarter inches long by 14 and a quarter inches wide. And let me go ahead and give you some overall measurements. Looking at the overall length first, from end to end, we're sitting roughly about 31 and 3/16 inches long. And then looking at the width, we're sitting right at about 24 and 7/8 inches wide. And the height about 12 and 13/16 inches tall, the unit itself weighs a little under 70 pounds.
And what I would like to do is I went ahead and I removed the 12 Phillips head screws that secure the lid so I could more easily remove it during our time together. So let me just pop this cover off so you can get a view of the inside there real quick. And then as I set this down on the ground, let me go ahead and go for like a lower angle view. Maybe you can see inside there just a little bit better. So this air conditioner does feature a six blade fan with motor that's going to provide sufficient airflow. The airflow's gonna be 500 cubic feet per minute. And then let me give you an overhead look or view as well. So this is going to be very easy to get the lid off to do any maintenance. If there's ever a time like maybe at the beginning of summer you want to do some maintenance. As you saw, this cover is gonna be very easy to remove. This is a hard plastic cover. And so let me go ahead and just pop this back on just to show you how easy that's gonna be. Just slide it right on top, just like that. And then you'll just obviously push it down and then take the 12 screws and replace it. So the cover's gonna do a good job of protecting the internal components from water, dirt, and debris. And then it's gonna be very easy to remove, very easy to replace. And again the white color is gonna help reflect the sun and hopefully keep your camper all the more cooler, reflecting that sun away from your RV. Now I've given you another lower view. It's probably gonna be kind of hard for you to see. I did want to show you that you do have, we do have foam pads here and then underneath of course you're gonna have a collapsible gasket. That gasket is going to seal the opening to prevent water seepage and air leaks. So the use of fresh sealant is not gonna be needed because of that gasket. And then the foam pads underneath are going to give you that insulation from noise and vibration. You'll have those pads in between the roof of your camper or RV and the air conditioner. So it'll help keep this quiet when it's running and as it's going down the road. It does include a wiring harness. Let me see if I can retrieve that here real quick. It's going to be right in here through the opening. So hopefully you can get a good view of that plug. Now additional accessories can be purchased separately to improve the performance of this unit, such as the start capacitor. As you probably know, a start capacitor is gonna improve the performance of the air conditioner by using stored energy to jumpstart it. And the electric heat strip that's also available, that's gonna of course help remove chill, the chill rather, on cold, frosty mornings. And that's gonna help make sure that you stay comfortable on those colder mornings. If you're interested in those other items that are sold separately from this, take a look at the related product section tab on this product page and you'll see those other options that are available that you could pick up from us here at etrailer.com and add that to your order. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
