Welcome back Steve!

We definitely have brakes that will fit your 4,400 pound Lippert axle, but I will admit to being a little confused by the measurements you got.

Brand new brake shoes will measure 3/16" (or 4.7mm) and you want to replace them when they reach around 1/16" (or 2mm). If you meant millimeters instead of inches for that 2.03 measurement, then it is definitely time.

With that said, we do have a direct replacement for your Lippert axles with the following parts:

Lippert Electric Trailer Brake Assembly - 10" - Left Hand - 4,400 lbs # LC96WD
Lippert Electric Trailer Brake Assembly - 10" - Right Hand - 4,400 lbs # LC46WD

These are the brakes included with the Lippert # LC66WD kit, but for some reason it's less expensive to get them individually. I would definitely go that route instead.

Are these going to be going on your Jayco 29RLDS you upgraded the equalizers on in 2022? And are they the same brakes from when you did that? Where you headed?

I was repacking the wheel bearings on my travel trailer and decided to check the brakes shoes, well after doing an inspection I noticed that the brake shoe springs showed wear. I pulled the rest of the drums and one of the springs had broken, so with that said I reached out to e trailer with a parts list of what I thought I might need,. They came back showing the whole kit that was not that much. I ordered them and was glad I did. The whole assembly was real easy to replace rather than taking everything apart. Plus it also gave me a good feeling knowing that I had all new hardware. No worries and saved time on the install
