The Thule T-Rac Pro2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Cantilever is built to handle serious work and weekend hauls. With a 1,000-lb carrying capacity and an extra 32" of support over the cab, it easily manages long boards, pipes, or kayaks without flex or sag. The over-the-cab extension attaches to the front crossbar for a strong, continuous load path that keeps cargo stable and balanced. You get the full bed for gear and tools while still being able to haul oversized materials safely overhead.
The rack mounts to the truck bed rails with heavy-duty aluminum C-clamps—no drilling required. Each upright base is held securely by two clamps that torque down for a tight fit. The wide base design adds stability without needing extra bracing, and when you want to remove the rack, it comes off easily for a more compact setup. The included toolbox mounting kit also attaches with clamps, so you can mount a crossover-style toolbox without putting holes in your bed rails.
Each 65" crossbar features top and bottom slots for mounting gear. The included four aluminum load stops slide within the channels and lock in place with a simple knob twist, keeping ladders, lumber, or kayaks where they belong. Four side cleats on the uprights give you extra tie-down points for straps or ropes, so even odd-shaped loads stay put. With a maximum distance of 53" between load stops, there’s plenty of room for wide cargo.
This rack is made from 6000-series aluminum that’s both lightweight and rustproof, so it won’t eat into your payload capacity. A dual-stage powder coat—an e-coat base followed by a clear topcoat—protects against corrosion, scratches, and road grime. The internal web structure of the crossbars adds rigidity without adding weight. It’s a rugged setup that stays solid through rain, salt, or sun.
The elliptical crossbars and built-in airfoil trip strips cut down on drag and wind noise. Air flows cleanly over the top, so you don’t hear the whistle that comes from open slots on other racks. Whether you’re heading to a job site or the lake, the aerodynamic shape keeps your drive quiet and efficient.

Well designed, well built. Pretty straight forward install. A little taller than expected on the Colorado. The cantilever hardware (nuts and bolts) is different than the rack hardware which; though of no consequence structurally, should probably be addressed by Thule to standardize the install.
This bed extender works as advertised. I would highly recommend it to anyone that has an extended cab pickup with a short bed. This is great for hauling longer items around.

In the paperwork please explain that you need to exchange the top bracket and replace with the one needed for the over cab extension
