Welcome back Lauris!
If it were me, I would go with one of the following units for your 2005 Casita camper 17 foot deluxe:
Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # FR23TD
Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - Wall Thermostat - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # FR83TD
Both of these are full replacements that include everything you need and they work with Ducted or Ductless set ups. We have found Furrion to be the quietest and most efficient options on the market, so they are the ones to go with.
If you are wanting something a bit less expensive though, the following would be good options as well:
Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # ADV92SR
Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # ADV32SR
Both of these are full set ups as well. They aren't quite as quiet as the Furrion ACs, but they still do a good job. The price is pretty hard to beat as well when you compare them to other AC units.
If you are wanting something that can handle cooling and heating, check out the following two options:
GE Appliances Low-Profile RV AC w/ Heat Pump - Kit for Ductless Install - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # GE98RR
GE Appliances Low-Profile RV AC w/ Heat Pump - Kit for Ducted Install - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # GE38RR
As with all the other options listed, these are full set ups. The difference between them is the # GE98RR is for a Ductless set up and the # GE38RR is for a Ducted set up. Quietness is basically between the Advent and the Furrion ACs, so it is definitely a nice option if you are also wanting heat.
Getting ready for a trip? Where you headed?
