What Air Conditioner will Replace My Coleman Mach 3 Air Conditioner in 2004 Keystone Laredo?

Updated 07/10/2025 | Published 07/08/2025

Question:

Thinking of replacing my Coleman Mach 3 AC...it seems to be struggling now to keep up with the warmer temps. I have a 2004 Keystone Laredo is there an AC system that I can use to replace the Coleman?

Hello Daniel,

This year the refrigerant in the RV air condition went from the R410a to the R32. The R32 is much more efficient, making it better for the environment, and in return better for the consumer. The downfall to the new refrigerant is that the old R410a parts do not work with the new R32 parts, so it will require for you to get a whole new set-up.

The Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # ADV82SR that you were looking at would be the whole new set-up you will need.

Or you could go with the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Single Zone - 15,000 Btu - White - R32 # FR83TD. As of now it looks like we can get this one to you a little sooner, you will need to check the ETA dates on the product pages.

Any big adventures coming up in the near future? Where are you headed? Or better yet, what has been your most greatest adventure?

Thanks for the recommendation. Is the Furrion Chill Cube an option? I've looked at reviews and really like the low power consumption. Thank you

@Daniel Yes, the Furrion Chill Cube will be an excellent option, it does have a little bit more of a wait. - Ducted: Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w Air Distribution Box, Thermostat - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - White # FR69TD - Ductless: Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ductless - 18,000 Btu - White # FR59TD It truly is amazing how effecient and quiet this unit is. If you are able to wait, I would. Best to place your order now to reserve your spot when we get the next shipment in. With the new refrigerant being released this year, it is hard to keep the AC's on the shelf!
