Question:
Looking to replace my dometic brisk2 on my 2017 KEYSTONE RV PASSPORT GRAND TOURING SERIES M-3320 BH It came with an undersized 13k btu, I want to replace it with the largest one available that will work with my thermostat and furnace. Plug and play.

Hi Scott,
I know you'd prefer a plug and play replacement, but due to a new law that was passed in 2024 all refrigerant was changed to a more environmentally safe option. Due to this change, AC manufacturers had to alter the wiring in the control boxes to make it safer, so air conditioners that were produced in and before 2024 are no longer compatible with ACs produced in and after 2025. This means that to get you a new, higher btu system we'll need to get you a complete new set up with a new rooftop unit, thermostat, and air distribution panel.
That being said, the largest air conditioner to replace your Dometic Brisk II would be the Furrion Chill HE 15,000 BTU RV Air Conditioner in black part # FR65TD. This unit is rated higher than your current 13.5k BTU unit and the thermostat has a zone controller which allows for your furnace to be wired in. It also has a built-in start capacitor to help start the unit in case the voltage dips or if you're off grid and the generator can't keep up. If you prefer a white unit, we offer the same complete Furrion system part # FR83TD.
What temperatures are you usually camping in?

We camp year round but typically in the summers we’ll be in the south where it’s 85+. The single a/c in our rig just can’t keep up. Most importantly is that the current dometic unit controls the furnace as well. I’m good with new, just don’t want to have two thermostats to control everything
