Hey, Nicolas. Happy to help out!

For your ducted setup on your 2018 Thor ACE, there are 2 functional options, it shows 4 because each kit comes in black or white.

Option 1) Complete Kit with Remote and Wall Thermostat

Black: Part # FR49TD
White: Part # FR69TD

Option 2) Complete Kit with Remote (no separate wall thermostat)

White: Part # FR99TD
Black: Part # FR39TD

Both options are complete systems that will come with the AC unit, distribution box, and your preferred thermostat package.

The remote will also function as the thermostat and has a really cool “Follow Me” feature. It reads the temp wherever you carry it and adjusts the AC as needed.

If you go with the remote plus wall thermostat kit, you still get the Follow Me feature on the remote, which is helpful if your existing wall thermostat location isn’t ideal. Or if you just don’t want to get up from the couch.

Since you mentioned your current AC not being able to keep up on the hotter days, the Chill Cube is going to make a big difference. That’s why we recommend these the most.

What areas are you camping the most in?

So far, no issues with them. I did it for more of the energy savings for off gridding, but the ACs were great. They do chill a lot colder than any other ACs. One thing I can say is that they always stay on and they’re always moving air. they never shut off so the real question will be as how long will the equipment last always being on

@PaulC Hey Paul. The only time your fan will turn off when your AC turns off is if your set it to auto mode. If you have it set to high, medium, low, or ventilation, the fan will keep running even when the compressor turns off.

I have two of these Chill Cubes in my Momentum fifth wheel. The first one was installed about a year ago and then other one about 3 months later. I did the installs myself, which is a simple install. The hardest part is getting the units on and off the roof. They do work great and use way less power than my Coleman Mach 15 units. Like others have mentioned the fan will run all the time while the unit is on, but it’s way quieter than the old units I had. Be advised if you use the Furrion thermostat to run your heater the ac fan runs all the time too. I ended up using my original thermostat to run the heater, doing this the AC fan doesn’t run when the heater runs now. This wasn’t an issue other than if I knew the fan ran all the time I wouldn’t have bought the Furrion thermostat. I do use my rv full time and my AC’s run a lot, so I hope they last for several years.

@KeithM Hey, Keith. If the fan is not set to Auto, it will continue running even when the compressor shuts off. Fan setting options are: Auto High Medium Low Ventilation To have the fan shut off when the set temperature is reached, make sure it’s set to Auto.

@GwendolynY, this is incorrect. The Chill Cube AC unit the fan will stay running while the AC is on. The auto function only regulates the speed of the fan.
