Question:

Hello, We have a 2018 Thor Palazzo 33.2 built on a Freightliner 2017 XC-S chassis. I am interested in purchasing front and rear sway bars to control body roll/sway. We are also Interested in replacing the steering suppressor. My question is... The anti sway bar product descriptions on your website state they are for XC-S chassis with V-Ride. I dont know if I have V-Ride Suspension? Can you recommend Front/Rear anti sway bars and steering suppressor for my make/model motorhome? Thank you

Hey Mike, thanks for the information! The V-Ride rear suspension system wasn't introduced in the Palazzo line until 2020-2021 so your 2018 Thor Palazzo 33.2 built on a Freightliner 2017 XC-S chassis does not have it. I checked with Roadmaster and there are no anti-sway bars available for your Class A since you do not have the V-Ride. I do not have any other suspension options that would help address your body roll issues.

To add a steering stabilizer, I recommend the Safe-T-Plus Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Hardware Kit item # ST95MR. This stabilizer comes with custom mounting brackets that are designed specifically for your 2017 XC-S chassis. Since your model has the 90 gal fuel tank there will be no compatibility issues.

I've linked an installation video below along with the instructions so you can see how to get the steering stabilizer installed. It'll show all the torque specs and requirements if you plan on doing the installation yourself.

We have a 2016 Tiffin Phaeton 40AH. Installation was pretty easy and straight forward even if you are not mechanically inclined. I built ramps to drive the RV on to give myself extra clearance. I did this myself but a helper would have made it easier. Take along a helper when doing the final adjustments during the driving phase so that you reduce the amount of adjustments. As many how-to videos state, you only have to make a very minor adjustment to notice a change. In my opinion, etrailer is THE go to place for my RV needs. While anyone can sell a product, very few provide the level of service that etrailer does. Their instructional pictures and videos contain everything you need to get the job done correctly and safely and if you don't want to do the work, they have a health network of authorized installers.
