Question:
I currently have 10-in by 1 and 3/4-in electric brakes on a camper. These are AL-KO and I no longer find a replacement. Could I purchase an electric unit 10-in x 1.5-in from you and would that be sufficient for a 2,000-lb trailer without having to replace the hubs?

I must recommend that you replace the hub/drum as well when changing the size of your braking assemblies because the surface area on the old drums may not line up with the new braking assemblies which is why I recommend replacing both at the same time.
The 10" x 1-1/2" braking assemblies part # K23-472-473-00 will use the same four bolt brake mounting flange as the 10" x 1-3/4" braking assemblies you but we no longer have a correct hub for these.
The most common replacement for the 10" x 1-3/4" braking assemblies you have are going to be the 10" x 2-1/4" braking assemblies, part # 23-26-27. The correct hub/drum for this is part # AKHD-545-35-K and this uses a L68149 inner bearing and L44649 outer bearing which is what I believe you have. If this is not what you have please reach our with what you do have and I will make recommendations based on those measurements.

i have this situation on my counter and we pulled the AKHD-545-35-K hub out and he thinks he will run out of axle nut thread. Any thoughts? 10x1-3/4 al-ko brakes
