Can I replace my WFCO 9845 with the WF58FR, or should I upgrade to 55 amps? 2014 Jayco Jay Flight

Hey Tom!
Yes, the WFCO WF-9845-AD-CB (our part # WF58FR) is the correct 45-amp Auto-Detect replacement for your existing 9845 unit. It’s the same output class and works great in a 30-amp travel trailer like your Jay Flight.
If you’re still running a single battery and mostly camp with hookups, staying at 45 amps keeps everything simple and avoids unnecessary wiring changes.
If you’ve added a second battery or upgraded to lithium and want faster charging, stepping up to the # WF38FR 55A is a reasonable upgrade while you’re swapping the unit. No wiring changes would be necessary and it would be an easy swap.
What happened to the old unit? And did you modify your camper to use this standalone converter rather than a power center that has a built-in converter/charger section? The only campers I've seen that have a standalone converter/charger from the factory are tear drops and popups.

Old one crapped out. and idk, it's just how it was when I got it. It worked fine for the few years I've had it so far. Thanks for the help, I'll upgrade to the 55a one while I'm at it.
