Need to replace my converter. I have a WFCO model WF-9855. What would you suggest as an upgrade to this. Fred

Hello again Fred,

What did you have in mind for an upgrade? If you're switching over to Lithium you can use the WFCO Auto-Detect RV Converter Charger # WF38FR. This is the same WF-9855 but with their auto-detect (AD) technology so it will identify the battery type and charge accordingly. It also mounts up in the same spot as your current 9855.

I really like the WFCO brand and use it myself. We made the same swap in ours to the auto-detect when we upgraded the batteries. If you had something else in mind like a higher charging capacity the # WF98FR the next step up with a 65 amp output.

Did you make the switch to Lithium or is it just time to retire the old one?

My current one has no 12 volt output. Keeping the lead acid batteries for now. Just wasn't sure if there was anything newer. Fred

@FredN this is the latest model from WFCO. If this is for your 2000 Winnebago Journey 34B, and the old one lasted 26 years, I'd say that is a really good run and sticking with WFCO is a good choice.
