Is a 40952 Hopkins replaceable with a 40955?

Expert Reply:
Yes Tyler, those both feature the same standard 7 way female connection that plugs into the factory 7 way harness going to the plug at the back of your vehicle.
While we don't carry those two part numbers, the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector - Vehicle End # HM40950 or Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Pole Flat Connectors # C55774 would work the same way.
Just plug into the factory harness behind the plug and you're good to go. It's nice that all of these are generally a standard fitment no matter which brand. What happened to the old one? And what kind of trailer are you towing, Tyler?
