Will Kuat Piston Pro Bike Rack Fit 2024 Ford Transit T350

Updated 02/12/2026 | Published 02/07/2026

Question:

Can the Kuat Piston Pro be used for our 2024 Class B Ford Transit 350 AWD Camper Van? Will have 2 Engwe Electric Bikes with 3.5 “ tire width and weighs approx 60 lbs with battery. Both are foldable. Will the tilt function allow for the back doors to open far enough for access? Or, will the Kuat Pivot be required? Any other recommendations as far as racks? Thx. Mike

Hey Michael! The Kuat Piston Pro Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # KU76ZR is a really great option I think you'll be happy with. This is Class B compatible so you will be able to use it on your camper van. It looks like those bikes have fenders so you will also need the Fender Straps for Kuat Piston Pro # KU43VR. An optional ramp # KU63VR is also available.

As far as clearance is concerned, I can't say for sure if you will be able to open the rear doors or not. I did attach the full measurements below, including the tilt away dimensions. You can compare this to your Transit to see if the bikes will clear.

If it doesn't look like they will clear you can add the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away # PVP20B or Kuat Pivot XD # KU37KR so you can access the rear with the bikes mounted on the carrier. Keep in mind, the use of one of these adapters will reduce the capacity of your hitch by 50%. You need to make sure you aren't overloaded with the weight of the ebikes, bike rack, and adapter.

What’s the first trip you’re planning in the Transit with your bikes?
