Recommended 2" Double Ball Mount that Adjusts in 1-1/2" Increments

Question:
Adjustments are in 2 inch increments most seem to adjust in one inch. This seems like a real limitation in trying to level a trailer, right? On a 4 inch hitch I can do plus 2, zero, minus 2 and minus 4. Love everything about this hitch then saw the 2 inch issue. Thoughts?

Hey David. I would go with a different ball mount if you're concerned about being able to adjust in 1-1/2" increments. I recommend the etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount item # e66PR. Comparably it's pretty similar to the Bulletproof item # BPH79MR you were looking at. Plus it'll save you a couple bucks.
The etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount item # e66PR has a 10,000 lbs capacity. It has a 7,500 lbs capacity with the 2" ball and a 10,000 lbs capacity with the 2-5/16" ball. This ball mount will also give you two extra inches of adjustablity as it provides a 6" rise and 6" drop.
I attached a couple of pictures below and linked a demo video of our etrailer item # e66PR being tested out on a Forester so you can see exactly what it'll look like on your SUV.
What kind of trailer do you pull?

I apologize, I have the E66pr. I thought that was the hitch in question. The single pin on the 4” one you were questioning freaks me out. I agree with Jerred. I love my 6” with two pins. Lots of adjustments

I have the old version which has 1-1/2” adjustments and I can’t imagine a half inch will make a crazy difference. I tow 4 different trailers with this hitch with a huge range of heights. I’ve never had a problem getting any of them level. I tow my tiny flatbed trailer one adjustment too high (1-1/2”) when I’m on a rough road and can barely tell it’s too high on a trailer so short it exaggerates the slant. Just my opinion. Airbags can help with fine adjustments as well. Also, if you’re towing often adjust your headlights down! Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine. I hope this helps. P. S. Strong hitch. My jack broke on my 10k enclosed one day and came crashing down on the hitch. Not a scratch, bend or crack. My one complaint is the chrome plating on the ball came off pretty quickly on the 2-5/16 side. I know it’s picking the fly crap out of the pepper but I wanted to make sure you didn’t think it was all sunshine and unicorn farts.
