Gen-Y Hitch Hitch Pins and Clips - Standard Hitch Pin - 325-GH-096 Review

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Gen-Y Hitch 5/8 inch diameter stainless steel pin and clip for two inch hitches. Now, this hitch pin will secure your ball mount or other hitch mounted accessory in your trailer hitch receiver. Does include the twist clip, which will insert into the end of the pin to hold the pin in place. And this twist clip, I do wanna talk about it for a minute because it is a unique design.

It is totally different than a lot of the other clips out there. Your standard clip, happen to pull one here, if you look is just a straight clip and it's a little hard sometimes to install or remove. This one with the twist design to it, what's nice about it is you can just put it right on there, and just push it, and it goes twist right into place. And then to remove it, just twist it and it comes right out. Very easy to install and remove.

Makes it a lot easier. Just wanted to mention that. Now, this pin is a sturdy stainless steel construction. It is made in the USA. Specs, again, this pin is designed to fit the two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers.

Pin diameter is 5/8 of an inch. Overall length, if we get our ruler out, and if we go from the very end to end is gonna be right at 4 3/4 inches. Now, the usable length, which will be from under the head here to where the clip goes in, the usable portion is gonna be right at 3 1/2 inches. Now, this one is designed to fit the two inch hitches. We do also offer this pin in a little bit longer length, which will fit the 2 1/2 inch and three inch hitches.

And that is sold separately on our website. It's part number 325-GH-099. But that should do it for the review on the Gen-Y Hitch 5/8 inch diameter stainless steel pin and clip for two inch hitches..
