Hey Michael, welcome back! The Curt RVi Series Towed Battery Charger+ item # RVI74FR provides an output of up to 10 amps. It's a on-demand system that provides a trickle charge to maintain your towed vehicle's battery's voltage. It is indeed a DC to DC charger. It uses the 12v power from your motorhomes 7-way.
The Curt RVi Series Towed Battery Charger+ item # RVI74FR is included with the Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI94FR. You can also pair it with the display screen on the Curt RVi Series 4 Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI44FR, however it must be purchased separately.
Are you looking to setup a flat tow? If so what year, make, and model is your vehicle. If you could add this information where it says Add Comment, I would be happy to make recommendations on all of the parts you'll need.

I haven’t had an opportunity to flat tow my vehicle yet. I had the system professionally installed and I have all the confidence that the charging system will work as advertised
