Can this be used on a hydrastar hydraulic actuator?

Yes, the Adapter Module for BrakeRite Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for OE Ford and GM Brake Controllers # DX35FR will work with your OEM brake controller and a Hydrastar electric over hydraulic actuator like # HBA16. I’m really hopeful that manufacturers will eventually update OEM brake controllers to work directly with electric over hydraulic trailer brakes, but until that day comes, this adapter is the correct solution.

This is actually for one of my customers, I work for a trailer and tractor shop, so I am always seeking information on odd ball issues like this or trying to find uncommon or unknown parts, and you guys have been a great help in locating the information, and have awesome customer service

@Keith I’m sure the module is doing what its supposed to do but my truck isn’t, I had a 5500 ram dump and everything worked fine, traded it in for a 2024 Chevy 6500 and it doesn’t work my electric over hydraulic brakes, had it to the dealer 3 times they say it’s fine but that’s BS, my option now is to run a new line to the back of the truck and run a after market controller, from what I’ve seen it’s a Chevy thing and they don’t have any answers, good luck

@MarkS I heard there was a class action against Chevy and the OEM brake controllers because they do not work with EOH. Hopefully they get it right one day, until then we will just have to use the adapters. Thanks for the response Mark.
