Question:
Hello, I am looking for auxiliary brake lights that I can attach to my bike rack on my Mini Cooper. When the bikes are on the rack it is difficult to see the vehicle stop and marker lights. Thx Dan

Hey Dan, welcome back! For lights you can add to your bike rack I recommend using the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201. These can stick on anywhere you have space on the rack and will plug into the 4-way on your Mini Cooper.
What kind of bike rack do you have?

I added the lights to my 1Up Super Duty rack roughly 2 years ago. They work perfectly when the rack is down or in the up position.

I have installed these lights on the back of my Hollywood e-bike rack. They work well but as they are fairly thin, I didn’t find them bright enough since my taillights are completely obscured by our full sized fat tire e-bikes. I added additional round lights that work well, so now we have both.

Dan, Our Curt Auxiliary lights work great. You can even see them through out bike cover that we use behind our camper. I would buy again. Kevin

I bought the lights for an electric bike rack. I wanted better visibility for my truck tail lights even though they are partially visible. This is the second ebike rack I have used them on and I am pleased with them. They are absolutely necessary if you use a rain cover on your bikes something needed with ebikes. The cover completely blocks the truck tail lights. I would warn you to be extra careful where the wire run if you have a folding rack as the wires are easily pinched. I used numerous zip ties in that area and protected the wire with wire covering such as you can buy at Harbor Freight.
