Hello Chris,
The Replacement Coupler Cap Spring for Bulldog Round Tongue Collar-Lok Couplers # BD500354 is definitely the correct spring for your Bulldog Collar-Lok Adjustable Channel Mount Coupler - 15K # BD028657.
I didn't see your coupler part number # BD028657 on the product page for the replacement spring # BD500354, so I took a stroll out to the warehouse. I was able to remove the spring from the # BD028657 with just a flathead screw driver to confirm that it is indeed the same as the # BD500354. For some reason when I put the spring back in it was easier for me to put the left side in first then use the flathead screw driver to compress the spring to get it into the right side, this is all if you were facing the coupler head on. I tried putting it in on the right side first but it kept coming out, not sure why but thought I would let you know.
We do in fact ship to Canada, if you need help placing your order please feel free to call our customer service line where a real person right here in Wentzville, MO will be happy to take your call. You can find the number at the top of the page.
How long have you had this coupler, and is this your first time having to replace the spring? Just curious on how long yours lasted.

In my experience this is the best coupler by far, it takes the guessing game out of, did it latch properly or not. I'd say its probably the safest way to attach a trailer because you know for sure that latch is in the collar and secured with a pin.

Thank you. I have had this coupler for like 20 years already or so. The coupler has been very stiff for multiple years already and the spring came out of it over 8 years ago. We finally freed it up with heat from a cutting torch and now it moves like new again. We lubricated it with spray on lithium grease and now want to put a new spring in, so that the coupler opens with spring pressure instead of having to pry it open. Looks like it should work. Thanks again.
