Question:
My bulldog coupler BD028386 has started to bind when I try to unhitch my trailer. I also had the same coupler that I bought from you on a different trailer and it worked flawlessly for 4 years. This is a different trailer and I had the same coupler installed two years ago. Until this trip it worked fine and now its becoming more and more difficult to unhook. I always use grease on the ball and Ive sprayed the coupler with lithium grease with no luck. Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this issue. Thanks for your help Dianne

I sure do! I recommend spraying all the moving parts and the areas around them on your Bulldog Collar-Lok Coupler item # BD028386 with WD-40. Use an excessive amount and completely saturate your coupler and let it sit. Make sure you spray it inside the collar lock really well.
Come back a day or so later and take a rag and clean everything off really well. This will remove all the old lube and the dirt/debris that has built up. Afterwards you can reapply some lithium grease like item # L11316.

Thanks for the advice on my coupler issue. I cleaned it as you instructed and yes a lot of dirt and old grease came off. I'm currently traveling and won't be unhooking my trailer again until 4/19 but I'm certain it will decouple now without any issues. Thanks again Dianne
