Hey Mike there is a threaded metal section on the replacement Lippert Garage Door Cable part # LC39FR that you would thread in when you want to shorten the cable and thread out to lengthen it. It's like a throttle or clutch cable on a motorcycle if you are familiar with that by chance.

Hey Mike, how did it go adjusting the length on your replacement Lippert garage door cable? Did threading the metal section in or out give you the range you needed? Your feedback could help others working on the same setup.

I recently purchased a truck camper with a deck on the back. (Palomino HS2912 Max.) The deck has this cable design but needs adjusted, mine will not adjust even with great force. That's why i asked my first question. I recently went to an RV show near me and seen several units using this design. I could easily adjust them by hand. I like the look of these and now I'm looking for one that is 103 inches in length max. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike
