Recommended Hitch Pin for a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander w/ the Factory Hitch

We have a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid with a factory installed 2” receiver hitch. The receiver tube is recessed and hard to access. Will this hitch pin fit? I have a pin with a 2.5” span and the end is too close to the tube so I can’t get the clip onto it.

Thanks for the pictures Tricia and welcome back! The etrailer Trailer Hitch Pin and Clip item # e45TR will indeed work with your Grand Highlander's factory hitch. However, I have a better option.
I recommend our etrailer Hitch Receiver Lock item # e98881. It's going to cost a few dollars more but this one locks so it's going to be a great theft deterrent. It's got a 3-5/8" usable span so it'll definitely fit your factory hitch.

I got the e98881 lock for my daughter and she has no trouble with it. She has a 2025 Kia Sportage but The hitch is from e trailer.

I have them and bought multiples. They were all keyed the same and gave family a set of keys so they could use them without coming to me. I really like them.
