Hello, I have 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander. It has 5000 lbs towing rating, but OEM hitch came with 4-pin connector. By local laws vehicle towing any trailer exceeding 3000 lbs is recommended to have brake controller. I like Tekonsha P3 controller. Do you have any information how to connect P3 to my vehicle and how to do a 7-pin connector? Is there a T-harness, so not to cut the original wiring? Thank you. Alex.

Hello Alex, thanks for reaching out. We actually custom make our own wiring kit which is designed specifically for this purpose. You can use the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. This kit will contain all of the components needed to upgrade your 4-flat plug to a 7-way, including all of the necessary wires for a brake controller. For your brake controller the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 is a great choice. This is by far our best reviewed and most reliable controller.
