Question:

Im interested in the Curt C26VV hitch for a 2026 Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited. I did not see the Grand Highlander Hybrid in the vehicle -down, so just wanted to confirm it would also fit the Hybrid? I wont pull a trailer with it, just interested in the hitch for a bike rack. Thank you!

Hey Eric. Welcome back and congrats on the new SUV. The Curt item # C26VV is listed as fitting the 2026 Grand Highlander but I have a better option for your 2026 Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited. It's our etailer item # e69ZV. We've actually already gotten a chance to install this on a 2026 Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited and I've linked the installation video for you below.

The etrailer item # e69ZV is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. Like the Curt item # C26VV it also has a 500 lbs tongue weight capacity so it'll work great with a bike rack and other accessories like cargo carriers. I really like this hitch because of how it installs and the superior rust proof coating. It'll also save you some money.

The crossbar of the etrailer item # e69ZV installs completely behind your Toyota's rear bumper so all you're going to see is the 2" receiver and safety chain loops. This small profile not only looks better but also limits how much of the lift gate sensor will be blocked. You'll only lose it's range right by the 2" receiver, which you won't want to kick at anyways. The matte finish protects better against chips and scratches that lead to rust but also blends in better beneath your rear trim.

Thanks Jerred, I'll order it today. I already have a Yakima bike rack that I got from you guys some years back, so I'm good there. Just have a regular bike, so don't need to worry about the weight of e-bikes. Thanks for the help. Eric

@AndrewH I bought the same hitch from them for the same vehicle and it fit nicely. You do have to cut back a little bit of flashing and cut a little hole in the plastic under liner to get the screws in but it’s not exceedingly difficult. The photos help, but it’s hard to get an orientation on where to make the hole in the plastic to find the hidden hole underneath in the frame.
