Question:
Need baseplate for 2017 Jeep Wrangler 2 door Sahara. Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Part Number: BX1133 looks the easiest to mount, will it fit this Jeep and will it work with the ReadyBrut Elite towbar? Also easiest wiring kit for my application. Thank You.

Hey Gary. The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BX1133 is designed specifically for the Winter Edition bumper that came with the 2017 Jeep Wrangler. If you have the standard factory bumper on your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara you'll need the Blue Ox item # BX1126. I've attached a couple of pictures below so you can see the differences in the bumpers. You'll need the BX88297 Blue Ox Baseplate Bracket Adapter Kit to connect to Ready Brute Elite tow bar. We do not carry this adapter and it will not fit the Ready Brute Elite 2 tow bar.
There's a couple of options to add a wiring kit. If you just want a 4-way connection, by far the easiest option is the EZ Light Wiring Harness item # BX88285. This wiring kit plugs into the connectors at the rear tail lights of your Jeep and allows you to control them through your motorhome with a 4-way connector.
If you are needing a 7-way connection, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord item # RM-15267. This kit comes with all the wiring, diodes, and connector you'll need to splice into your Jeep's wiring and add a 6-pin connector to the front. It also includes the 7-Way to 6-Way cord that connects your motorhome to your Jeep.
What kind of bumper does your Wrangler have?

Quick follow up question. Will the etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms Part Number: e98949 work equally well for my application or is the BX1133 or is the Blue Ox a better option for me? Sorry, just making sure of what i am doing. Gary

Thank you, Jerred. I have begun this process backwards so let's begin again. I have the bumper to the left, BX1126, so I guess the standard bumper. What baseplate would you recommend that will accommodate Ready Brute but will not limit me from using other towbars? How would you suggest that I proceed? Understand the wiring and know now what to buy.
