How Much Space Do I Need for the Rough In to Install the Dometic 320 RV Toilet?

Published 12/01/2025

Question:

I’m looking to change my toilet in a 2025 East to West Tandara 320RL which came with a Dometic 310 and replace it with a 320. I can’t find all the information I’m looking for on your site but I only have 10” from the wall to center of sewer pipe. I think the 320 requires 11” ? Do they make a offset closet flange that will work ? And will the flange that’s on my rv be glued and how do I remove it ? Thanks for any help

Hey Steve. You are correct the Dometic 320 RV Toilet item # DOM87FR does indeed require 11" of space for the rough in.

We don't currently offer an offset flange but you could just use a residential floor flange with an offset from your local hardware store. You'll likely have to cut the floor to accommodate the offset.

I have no way of knowing how your flange is attached. Your current flange could be screwed on like item # T05-0782 or item # T05-0784 (hopefully), but it could also be glued on like item # 3446336347, which would require you to cut the drain and would probably need to pick up a couple more fittings to reroute the pipe.

Thank you for getting back to me. If my camper does have a threaded flange do they make an adapter from threaded to glue for the residential flange ? I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a residential threaded flange before? Thank you

@SteveB You're welcome. That is a great question. I don't think I've ever seen one either. I know we don't have one. You'd most likely need to cut the threaded portion off.
