I’ve heard factory hitches for the 2025 Telluride cost a lot to install. Is this TowSmart hitch a good alternative?

Hey Chris! Yes, sometimes the OEM hitches can be pricey, and many dealers charge a bit extra for installation when most hitches can be easily installed in an hour or two in the garage. The TowSmart # TS84ZR gives you the same factory-style fit and strength without that extra cost or complexity. It bolts right to the existing weld nuts on your Telluride’s frame, supports 5,000 lbs towing and 500 lbs tongue weight, and sits neatly below the bumper so only the receiver shows.
For wiring, use the Curt Harness # C93FV if you have an LX or S trim (no LED taillights) or # C29ZV for all other trims, and add the Ball Mount Kit # 989891 to round out your towing setup.
Have you already checked what your dealer quoted you for the factory tow package? It’s often a big difference once you see both options side by side. My research tells me that this option here will save you about half the cost.
